Nightshift employees were celebrated for their successful completion of 2023 Workplace English classes at a special event on Nov. 16, 2023.

Hosted at 21 N. Park St., this event recognized the dedication and accomplishments of 47 UW-Madison staff who participated in this year’s program, organized by Cultural Linguistic Services (CLS). Among the individuals who committed themselves to this learning opportunity were 40 FP&M employees.

In 2023, two sessions of the program were conducted, spanning from April 13 – June 29 and Aug. 15 – Nov. 16. The comprehensive curriculum not only addressed fundamental language skills but also integrated workplace-specific language. Employees delved into practical topics such as reading work orders, utilizing QR codes and identifying chemical hazard pictograms.

This event served as a tribute to the hard work and perseverance exhibited by these employees. It is a testament to their commitment and a noteworthy milestone in their professional development.
