Staff members from Physical Plant and Transportation Services shared recent accomplishments, improvements and innovations at the annual Showcase event April 17.  Featuring presentations, flash talks, and breakout sessions, Showcase is a campuswide forum for share best practices, learn from others at UW–Madison, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. FP&M was well-represented:

A person in a red shirt and jeans, with a mask and a name badge around their neck, stands next to a bulletin board displaying a poster that says "You Can Count On Me," and has an image of a bicycle.
Dar Ward staffs a poster about mobile data collection for bicycle parking.
A man in red stands in front of a poster, speaking with three people -- a man in a plaid shirt, a woman in stripes, and another man in a gray sweater, smiling.
(l-r): FP&M employees Tony McGrath, Andrea Ladd, and Jesse Luckey Winters, speak with Rich Gassen from DPPS about the success of his team’s relocation.

Check out FP&M’s work, as well as posters from across campus on Showcase’s site.

Additionally, Digital Publishing and Printing Services created a poster highlighting their relocation to their Stoughton Road location. The poster listed many benefits and positive changes that have been realized since their move three years ago — facilitated by FP&M staff!

Later that day, three EH&S teams won Administrative Improvement Awards, due to their commitment to administrative excellence.  Read more.
