Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) has recently implemented Assetworks, our new Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). This system went live on June 23, 2019.
This is the first phase in a multi-phase implementation, and a culmination of a system selection and configuration process that included input from across FP&M, and from key stakeholders and customers across campus.
In this first phase, more than 500 FP&M employees are now using some aspect of Assetworks for everything from inventory and asset management to work requests to capital project management, using both web-based and mobile applications. Later implementation phases will both spread the use of Assetworks to more FP&M employees and enable additional functionality that will further improve the way that FP&M provides services.
Assetworks contains three modules:
- ReADY. The customer-facing portal for submitting and tracking work requests. Also used by FP&M employees.
- AiM. The employee-facing application for conducting all of FP&M’s business in Assetworks.
- Go. Mobile applications used by FP&M front-line staff to address service requests.
As part of this implementation, we are also streamlining and enhancing many of our processes and tools. We anticipate that this will help FP&M transform and improve the way we provide service to our campus customers.
