The first event celebrating Chancellor Mnookin’s investiture week was a late-night recognition on Tuesday at the Kohl Center. In addition to the chancellor, Bucky Badger, the UW Band and many of our FP&M staff celebrated with food, beverages and music.
Employees Rigoberto Gomez Morales, Santa Ibarra, Troymando Pace, Estela Ramirez, Jason Behlke, Elvira Martinez and Cindy Torstveit were all featured in UW News’ story.
For Bucky’s Big Event on Wednesday, a service day where UW-Madison students, staff and faculty volunteered, a large crew cut and removed invasive buckthorn trees and shrubs at Lakeshore Nature Preserve. This event was supported in part by the Office of Sustainability, and Bryn Scriver was featured photos in the UW News post.
The investiture week continues this week with:
- The Investiture Ceremony will be livestreamed from Hamel Music Center from 10 am to noon on Friday.
- The Campus Community Picnic Celebration at noon on Friday at Library Mall will include live music, entertainment, free food and the inaugural serving of Chancellor Mnookin’s ice cream flavor. It is open to all faculty, staff, students, guests and Madison community members.
