Following a two-and-a-half-year interim term and a rigorous selection process, Kurt Beilman has been selected as the Director of Facilities Management for Physical Plant effective Aug. 25. Kurt’s appointment was announced by Jim Bogan, Assistant Vice Chancellor of Physical Plant.
Jim emphasized that Kurt’s 33 years of experience in the construction industry have been instrumental in his success leading and mentoring the Facilities Specialist team during his interim role.
“Having served as Director of Facilities Management before stepping into the Interim Executive Director role, I know firsthand how crucial it is to develop clear and precise requirements,” Jim said. “Success begins with defining what needs to be done, and Kurt embodies this principle every day in countless ways.”
Kurt’s career spans roles such as design engineer, mechanical contractor, general contractor, manager of design engineers, owners’ representative, facility engineer, and now Director of Facilities Management. Despite his extensive experience and expertise, Jim describes Kurt as one of the most unassuming and approachable leaders in the field.
“I am particularly grateful for Kurt’s ability to clearly define problems, a skill that not only supports my growth as a leader but also aligns with our organization’s goal of involving the best advisors in addressing the challenges we face,” Jim said. “I am confident that under his leadership, we will continue to thrive and achieve great things.”
