Kayla McConville, Training and Organizational Development Program Manager at FP&M Human Resources was announced as the Embracing Innovation Award winner at the HR@UW Awards event held Nov. 21.
This award recognizes someone with a strength in generating novel and valuable ideas and has used those ideas to develop new or improved processes or services that improve HR functions.
Kayla reflected these traits in the past year through her efforts to create the New Supervisor Onboarding and Invest in Success programs at FP&M, both designed to support employees by growing their skills and create a positive impact on their teams.
The nomination stated that Kayla’s commitment to the programs’ ongoing evolution and growth had a positive impact due to her investment in time spent seeking feedback from stakeholders and working with participants in order to adjust the programs for continuous improvement.
