Erin Lewerenz and Gloria Ruiz Cervantes

Shout out and deep gratitude to Erin and Gloria in Physical Plant-Services Administration for showing up in multiple ways for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift during Workday learning in July and August.

They showed up in multiple ways including registering employees for campus training (over 500 Physical Plant-Services employees!), supporting in-person training (between the two of them, 44 direct hours helping in computer lab trainings), answering questions one-on-one when folks stop by or call, collecting data for campus, interpreting for Spanish, and more than supported learning.

You were both vital in the roll out of this technology/software for our frontline staff.

Craig Mlsna, Jim Edgington, Martin Scharrer, Malik Mitchell, and Drew Meredith

I’d like to submit a note to recognize the outstanding work of our colleagues in the campus services moving crews.

Here in the Office of Radiation Safety I often need to have both exceptionally (and sometimes unexpectedly) heavy items moved across campus or across the hall.  Whether it’s a 700 lb lead safe the size of a microwave, pallets of lead bricks pushing 2,000 lb, or fire rated security cabinets weighing 800 lb each, the campus services moving crew has been an incredible partner.  With their experience and specialized tools they make these challenging jobs look so incredibly simple.  And they do so with care, expertise, and professionalism.

I joke with them that that probably see a work order from me and cringe at what’s in store for them; however, they are an absolute pleasure to work with. We are so grateful for their support and I wanted to pause and make sure their hard work is recognized throughout the division.
