UW-Madison’s Benefits Open Enrollment period for employees will be Oct. 6 – 31, 2025. This will be your annual opportunity to enroll in or make changes to most benefits for 2026. It is important you set up your My Benefits account before Open Enrollment, to prevent login issues that could delay your enrollment.
Important first step: Set up your My Benefits account

Employees must create a new My Benefits account to access the new benefits enrollment system, My Insurance Benefits. Create an account by completing a one-time registration process, at etf.wi.gov/my-benefits.

Click the “Sign up” link, as shown in the screenshot.
You must complete this prior to enrolling in your benefits this fall.
Mark your calendar, plan ahead for enrollment
Mark your calendar to enroll in or make changes to your benefits for 2026, from Oct. 6 through Oct. 31, 2025. Changes made during Benefits Open Enrollment are effective Jan. 1, 2026.
To prepare, review your current benefits in Workday by logging in at myworkday.wisconsin.edu. From the Menu, go to Personal > Benefits and Pay.
