Here are 4 tips for a successful FP&M Employee Recognition Award nomination

1. Be proactive
Set aside a few minutes of your day. Review the award categories and criteria for each award. Decide which award captures the essence of the person(s) and work you are nominating for recognition. The award categories are Creative Solutions, Customer Service, Going Above and Beyond, Teamwork, and Unsung Individual.
Familiarize yourself with the new nomination form with easier steps to describe your nominee for the specific award.
2. Write the nomination
Answer the corresponding questions using examples and testimonials. Write with plain language capturing the action and impact of the person and their work. We recommended composing your text ahead of time, on paper, or with a savable digital media.
3. Elevate the nomination
- Add testimonials.
- Describe the impact on different sectors of the campus community.
- Show a commitment over time.
- Show decision-making under pressure.
- Show proactive behavior.
- Tie the work to the mission of the university.
- Request details from the nominee.
- Include measurable results.
4. Submit the nomination
After submitting the nomination, you will receive an email confirmation that your nomination was received.
