Last week, FP&M Recognition Co-Chairs Karen Demick and Donovan Kron sent the following message.

Friends and coworkers,

FP&M’s Employee Recognition program highlights the achievements and commitment of our workforce. The annual awards act as a beacon to highlight the importance of FP&M employees and remind us to recognize others. All our contributions make a difference for the university, and the more we support each other, the stronger our team is. Help us tell more stories by nominating an FP&M employee or team by March 14, 2025.

  • All FP&M employees are eligible to receive an award.
  • A nomination from a coworker says, “Thank you, your work is important.”
  • Employees can nominate fellow coworkers, teammates, direct reports, or supervisors. Nominate someone from any department in FP&M.
  • Past nominees say the experience left them feeling motivated, inspired, appreciated, and encouraged.
  • Award recipients will be honored at the eighth annual awards event and will receive a monetary prize and framed award certificate.
  • Choose from five award categories.
  • All nominees will be recognized on the Honor Roll and will receive a copy of the nomination.
  • Recognition team members are not eligible to receive an award.

Employee Recognition Award categories:

 

  1. Teamwork Award – for those who work together to achieve a common goal.
  2. Customer Service Award – for those who build positive relationships and give customers (internal or campus colleagues) more than what they expect.
  3. Going Above and Beyond Award – for those who contribute beyond their job description.
  4. Unsung Individual Award – for those who consistently and quietly contribute to FP&M and UW–Madison.
  5. Creative Solutions Award – for those who use inventive solutions to improve ideas or processes.

We look forward to reading your nominations and celebrating your great work at the awards event this summer!
