Campus Services

A huge thank you to the Campus Services team for coming out to help move tables at a recent Morgridge Hall event. I’ve never seen a room rearranged so fast! 😉 In all seriousness, even though the space had already been reset, seeing the crew show up was such a great reminder of our team’s commitment to helping each other succeed. I truly appreciate everything you do. Thank you!

Kevin and Dave

Shout out to Kevin and Dave for the repair work they performed on our slip door in October (WO 26-397013). One of the four “forks” that lifts the upper door had completely broken off. Kevin was able to work in a challenging environment to weld it back on. He also examined the other three forks, discovered the welding was insufficient/cracking/breaking, let us know about it, and made repairs to those as well on the spot. He definitely made our door much safer and likely saved us from placing another Work Order or two in the near future. Thanks so much, Kevin and Dave!

Electric Shop

Shout out to the electric shop for fixing/replacing the high number of clocks at Memorial Library. It really makes a difference, and the staff and patrons have taken notice!

Brent and Mark

Shout-out to Brent and Mark from the Plumbing Shop for being so thorough with fixing our wastewater discharge system. It was clear that our discharge pump was struggling mightily to remove the sewage from our building, however, what was causing the issue wasn’t readily apparent. Brent and Mark spent the time needed to properly troubleshoot both the pump as well as all sections of pipe inside and outside of our building. It was a very tedious and frustrating process; however, they stuck with it, never discouraged, and eventually discovered the issue. Thank you so much, Brent and Mark, for getting this properly fixed for us!
