DEADLINE EXTENDED: Shine a light on FP&M employees and partners by March 17

Deadline extended! Take action by Tuesday, March 17: Recognize FP&M coworkers and partners!

The following message from your Employee Recognition Committee Co-Chairs, Donovan Kron and Karen Demick, was sent to all FP&M employees last week:

Hello coworkers and friends,

It’s that time of year – we’re reaching the final days of our nomination drive for the 2026 FP&M Employee Recognition Awards.

Whether you’ve been taking notes, planning and submitting your nomination, helping someone else with theirs, posting the flyer, or using the promo kit graphic in your email signature to encourage others, keep it up. And thank you for all of the nominations we’ve received so far!

To help us achieve our goal, we wanted to remind you of the award categories, some tips & tricks for making your nomination count, and the “why” of it all.

In our busy world, time never stops, but we want to remember to recognize great work within FP&M and the people who make this campus run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Nominate for Employee Recognition Award

You can also recognize people that you work with outside of FP&M, by nominating external partners for an Outstanding Partnership Award. It’s no secret that FP&M staff collaborate with amazing partners across campus. Help recognize them too! The Outstanding Campus Partner award honors UW-Madison individuals or groups that have worked in partnership with FP&M to improve the campus community, advance strategic priorities, and/or support FP&M and its workforce. Deadline extended! Submit a nomination by March 17.

icon: yellow star outlineEvery day, you and your coworkers keep this campus moving forward. The ninth annual recognition awards is our chance to celebrate the engine behind it all — our employees.

Award recipients will be honored at the event this summer and will receive a monetary prize and framed award certificate. Nominees will be featured in the Honor Roll.

You can play a big part in deciding who these individuals are.

Help tell the stories of FP&M’s employees

Not only will you be giving someone a chance for recognition across the division, you’ll be shedding light on stories that were previously untold. We think that’s a pretty cool bonus!
