Grounds and Custodial staff during ice storm

This shout-out is for Grounds and Custodial for their amazing job making sure campus roads, parking lots and sidewalks were in great shape following the ice storm. Several campus colleagues even commented on their fine work:

“Please pass along my heartfelt gratitude to ALL involved with tending to the sidewalks and roadways on campus. I had zero issues either driving on campus or on my walk up to Bascom. THANKS SO VERY MUCH!”
-Mick Miyamoto, Ph.D., Special Projects Coordinator for Student Affairs

“I can say that campus roads and sidewalks were markedly better (and clearly salted) compared to the city controlled areas.”
-John Horn, Chief of Staff for VCFA

Anne Bogan

Every time I have emailed a request/question to Anne, she has responded quickly; I have asked her on a few occasions if she has a clone.

Scott Newton

Shout out to Scott Newton in Transportation Services for his excellent traffic control in helping WIAA visitors navigate Lake Street as the ramp filled up. His presence not only helped the rest of the Transportation Services 46 Lake staff, but also helped ensure the safety of the many vehicles and pedestrians in a congested area!

-Melanie Smith
