The Performance Management program in Workday gives managers and employees the structure to have frequent, meaningful conversations about expectations, goals and growth opportunities.
Workday tracks the conversations required by UW–Madison’s performance management policy which provides the campus with greater consistency in how performance management is documented.

Timeline for evaluations
Midpoint Evaluation – Begins: First week of January. Deadline: March 31.
Annual Evaluation – Begins: First week of July. Deadline: Sept. 30.
New Employee Goals & Expectations – Begins: First day of employment. Deadline: Before midpoint evaluation.
Probation Midpoint Evaluation – Halfway through probation period.
Probation Final Evaluation – End of probation period.
